Welcome to The Clumber Spaniel Club
For over a century the Clumber Spaniel Club has championed the breed's health, welfare and future - through shows, working events, rescue and a dedicated community of owners across the UK.
The Clumber Spaniel
A dignified, good-natured and endlessly loyal gundog
The Clumber Spaniel's history stretches back over 200 years, and the Clumber Spaniel Club has represented the breed since 1904. Founded by forty enthusiasts it was officially recognised by the Kennel Club in 1920. Distinctive, dignified and famously good-natured, the Clumber has been prized as a working gundog for two centuries and remains a familiar face in the show ring, the shooting field, and increasingly in agility, tracking and therapy work.
In 2026, Lee Cox's Sh Ch Vanitonia Soloist ('Bruin') took the breed to its highest accolade - Crufts Best In Show. The first time a Clumber Spaniel had won BIS at Crufts since Sh Ch Raycroft Socialite won in 1991.
Today the Club works tirelessly for members across the UK and around the world.
